* AUTOCONF, aka (configure;make;make install)

First ensure you have the Linux dependencies for your platform 
installed.  See http://rebecca-aiml.sourceforge.net/download.htm
if you have not already ensured they were installed.

Change to the directory [build_files/autoconf] and simply type
$ configure
$ make
$ make install

to install it.

There's some options you can use such as not generating doxygen,
not generating samples or a specific sample.  To see these options
type: 
$ configure --help

* BUILD AN RPM FOR YOUR PLATFORM 

First ensure you can build it from the source using autconf above.
If you can, then download the tar ball and type:

$ rpmbuild -ta RebeccaAIML-src-${version}.tar.gz 

where version is at least version 985 or greater

*** DEPRECATED!!!! USE THE autoconf ABOVE!!!! ****

* OLD MAKEFILE WAY 

Change your working directory to [build_files/gnumake]

Edit the file config.mk to setup a small handful
of variables.


Then, run "gmake" to build in release. For debug run
"gmake debug=true"

If you want to create a distribution of aiml without
any of the sourcefiles you can run
"gmake dist" This creates a seperate directory with
just the needed files and runs doxygen for the
documentation
